Wear Asset MonitoringTM (WAM) or ASI Smart Wear Plate is a minimally intrusive online condition monitoring system for wear liners installed on mining machines. The system is called to reduce human-machine interaction (improves the EHS program of a mine site). It also will exclude planned production stand downtime for manual inspection of mining equipment, hence increase production efficiency. It will monitor operational performance and prevent wear-related catastrophic failures of the equipment. This in turn will improve product quality and overall plant availability.
The system consists of fully encapsulated and powered for life wireless modules with probes embedded into wear liners, long-range gateways, and advanced cloud-based monitoring software for data analysis and reporting. Using the system as a subscription-based online service customer will have 24/7 online access to their assets’ actual condition dashboards and software upgrades. This will include further developed features such as regular and on-demand reports on the current status of wear parts, automated emergency messages sent via email or SMS, as well as machine health prognosis and integration to Customers’ CMMS or ERP systems.
